A. Aldridge from English Bicknor photographs

A. Aldridge from English Bicknor photographs
The identity of this lady is not known. She may not be from English Bicknor, although her photograph is with those of people who were residents of this small village, in the Forest of Dean. The photographic studios shown are some distance from EB.
25.7.2020 I have now done a bit of research which suggests that this could be the sister of my Great-great-grandmother, Eliza Ivins.
Sometime I must find out how to add accents to letter as in 'nee' for 'born as'

Is the English Bicknor collection a well known English collection, Phil? I haven't heard of it before - or this village.
Nice studio portrait. I wonder what people will see in her expression? She looks a little sad but resigned to me.

I have now found that my great-great grandmother's name, before her marriage to Thomas Ivins, was Aldridge,, but I don't know what their relationship was to this lady.
English Bicknor is a small village - no more than about 500 people - on the english side of the border with Wales, where its counterpart is called Welsh Bicknor. I use the term 'collection' because the photos were mainly in an old Kodak print pocket folder, in a shoe box with other photos from my Dad's side of the family. There were relatively few photos from his family and lots and lots from my Mum's family. So I could hardly call it the EB album, 'cos it wern't an album!
