I had hoped to see more waterfowl on the ponds, but this was a good consolation prize. Thanks for your visit & kind comment.

Thanks, Denis, for the kind comment and the 'stars'.
Despite their menacing appearance, the clouds only produced a light shower, for which I was very grateful, as I was some distance from any substantial shelter!

Just a very pleasing panorama with a moody sky!
Phil, I have enjoyed a brief and somewhat 'scatter-gun' visit to your excellent gallery and look forward to many more visits in the future,
Best wishes,
Andy

Thanks, Andy. My own photographic interests are somewhat scattergun, as you will have gathered from the wide range of subject matter. Sometimes there is a theme which has been occasioned by having to put together material for a project. I have done what I call slideshows with commentary, for local fundraising, The stained glass was once such and the public artwork in Southwark was another. I was working on a couple more when the programme was taken off in a different direction. The first was looking at how the advent of steam, whether on ships or the railways, made the development of seaside resorts possible or at least hastened their growth. The second was about the history of the fortifications that still exist on the south coast between Portsmouth and Dover.
