This is nothing like any Impatiens I have knowingly seen. But then there are about a thousand different varieties and the only two I know are the 'common garden' Busy Lizzies and the majestic New Guinea Impatiens. As for Balsam, the only one I'm familiar with is the excellent "Riga Black Balsam"...and that is a most potent bitter-sweet medicinal drink...at 90 proof!

I remember 'Friar's Balsam' - sitting with my head under a towel, over a bowl of hot water with FB in it, trying to clear a blocked nose, when I was little.

Rather large snapdragons - up to 3 metres high. They are on government lists of alien invasive species, but they are rather beautiful aliens!
