Cuckmere valley - north from Exceat Bridge - 3.2.2014

Cuckmere valley - north from Exceat Bridge - 3.2.2014
Following prolonged heavy rain, the Cuckmere River flows close to the top of its banks, a couple of metres above the flooded fields below. A mile downstream the tide was going out, but there was a strong wind blowing up the valley, hence the ripples going north!
The water-covered area beyond the river bank, is normally grass meadows with drainage ditches around and through them.
