This reminds me of when a Swedish graffiti group in 2004 kidnapped a fiberglass cow from the CowParade exhibit as a protest against mass-produced art. They parodied Taliban hostage tactics by making mock threats and ransom demands, aiming for a satirical message that was seen as humorous at the time. (Today, this act would likely be viewed as less funny due to greater sensitivity around such topics.)
