"Deep Woods" make me sick... literally.

Best I can use is lemon or any citrus oils....

Lymes worries me. I keep my grass down but as I am surrounded by virgin land......

We have a friend who has Lyme as a result of a tick bite and she's been ill for years. That's what scares me.

We don't like the DEET in Deep Woods but will probably have to take some along if this is going to be a bad tick season.

I understand.. a friend of mine in NH had it.. but she was lucky and they caught it really fast and the antibiotic course for 40 days did deal with it

I have taken to buying the tick collars for dogs... Not good to have next to your skin.. but I safety pin them to my trouser bottoms. Keep them in a zippy bag when not in use.. and wash your hands after touching them. They have Ivermectin in them and that will take out most nasties.

Sadly ticks are a fact of life here in summer. The dogs do well on Frontline Plus.
