Underground Devil , Mr Gopher Collage 2

We don't have them Pam but then you know that already.
I have read about them and seen TV programs about them so know they love to create their own underground railway.
We have Moles, they build little hills all over the lawn or better still (Sorry golfers) on the Putting green.

Animals look cute even when they annoy us.

Moles I was used to too in the UK. These .. yes... they have vast underground networks as th miles do.. and make just as much mess. This is one of several.

Yes.. more or less. This one was the size of a chubby Guinea Pig ! Some are closer to Mole sized. This is one of several.. and their underground networks are as vast as the moles.. and as messy !

I'm amazed that you were able to catch him. The things that live underground in my yard never come out when I am around. We did have a skunk who lived briefly under the porch and although he only came out at night, one could smell him during the day.
