Polyphemus Moth - Antheraea polyphemus- female She has a 6 inch wingspan but sadly was worn out and dying.

I believe we have to give something back and I have promised her that her beauty will live on. Some may think that daft... but ...it is my way

NOT DAFT AT ALL!!! I love it! What a gorgeous picture, lovely details, and taken by your warm heart. I like doing the same thing. I found a mourning dove's egg on the ground one day last year. I took it home and we took a bunch of pictures in different ways to give it immortality and so that it had meaning. We both loved doing that! :) Same thing with that wasp I took pictures of the other day. It's nice. Thanks for this, so pretty!
