HFF, everyone. I hope you are all well and that the weekend will bring you joy. This is Busselton Jetty again. (Biggen it up by pressing Z. It's a very long jetty - almost 2 kilometres - so would appreciate being seen larger.)

HFF everyone. I hope your weekend is a fine and pleasant one. This is the road bridge across the Blackwood River which gives its name to Bridgetown in Western Australia. A wonderful place which I hold close to my heart.

Happy Fence Friday, everyone. Once the best place for live trad jazz in Wakefield, this pub (The Wakefield Arms) has been empty since 2003. Because it is a grade II listed building it can't be demolished. I seem to recall hearing that it was built of Portland cement, which was invented by Joseph Aspdin, a Wakefield man, in the 1820s and was one of the very few buildings of its type in existence. I spent many happy hours drinking there. I took this in April 2016, but the Wakey Arms is still there and in the same condition. Sic transit gloria mundi.

Happy Fence Friday, everyone. I hope you can all keep safe and well. At least Juliet could socially distance from Romeo whilst on her balcony. Good old Bill Shakespeare, ahead of the curve as always.
