anything to do with project vortex ? a group of artists funding the clearing of britain's beaches by sale of artworks made of junk ? though this looks a bit too clean to have come off a beach.

The stuff actually did come from beaches, but it's not Project Vortex. It's a site-specific installation (permanent) in reception of a building that has nothing to do with art.

Nope. The connection between (some of) the detritus and the purpose of the building is a bit tenuous. Think about a category of particularly onerous flotsam.

Yes, the Macmillan Cancer Centre. The installation is called "Strand," and it's by Stuart Haygarth, made of plastic items he found washed up on the beaches from Gravesend to Lands End.
