Diese Bronzeplastik stellt einen von sechs Pferden gezogenen Streitwagens dar, der von der Friedensgötting Eirene gelenkt wird.
Die "Sestiga della Pace" wurde von Abbondio Sangiorgio geschaffen, einem mailänder Bildhauer des Klassizismus.(1798 - 1879).
Sie krönt den Arco della Pace, einem 25 Meter hoher Triumphbogen auf der Piazza Sempione in Mailand - 1807 in klassizistischem Stil nach dem Vorbild römischer Triumphbögen begonnen und 1838 fertiggestellt.
