Horse-drawn tram Mrozy-Rudka
The origins of first horse-drawn tram are connected with the outbreak of epidemic of tuberculosis at the end of the 19th century. At that time, Teodor Dunin, a distinguished doctor and bacteriologist, had opted for founding a specialist hospital. His idea won recognition of a number of prominent scientists. The hospital construction works began in 1902 in a place famed for its unique climate - Rudka near Mrozy. Building materials transported by trains were discharged at the train stadion in Mrozy. In order to make their transport to Rudka easier, railroad tracks were built. The construction of first hospital wing lasted over 6 years. The first patients were admitted into hospital in Rudka on the 29th of November 1908. On this day, the horse-drawn tram for the first time transported not building materials but people.
The tram (drawn by a horse!) is now available to tourists on Saturdays (afternoon) and Sundays. Unfortunately I was there in the morning... but I intend to return there at the right time :)

The Holy Mount of Grabarka (Święta Góra Grabarka in Polish) is considered to be the holiest location in Poland for Orthodox Christians.
A miracle occurred at Grabarka in 1710 during a deadly outbreak of cholera in the region. According to legend, one day an old man received an order from God to lead the people to the Mount at Grabarka, to set there a holy cross and to pray for salvation. The sick villagers followed the instructions of the old man, and the epidemic ended almost instantly.
The Holy Mount of Grabarka has been a center for pilgrimage for Orthodox Christians from Poland and other countries since the 18th century. Especially noteworthy is the feast of the Transfiguration of Christ in August, which draws about 100,000 believers from all over Europe. It is traditional for them to arrive at Grabarka by foot, some of them bearing the wooden crosses that can be seen surrounding the Church.
