My dog has a new friend.
We were formally introduced to each other yesterday night.

Yes, mine has two of them but I have never beem able to put the two of them at less than 40 cm form each other... someone knows too much of it ...

I think that my dog started to befriend the hedgehog at least ten days ago. That's when I noticed that she was not willing to come home for night and preferred to stay in the garden sniffing and looking for something in one particular place full of shrubs, cut wood and already dry leaves. She was not barking or making any threatening moves. In last days she even gave me tips like "come here and have a look!" standing there by the pile and waiting for me to approach.

Yesterday she stood there again but this time in the middle of the driveway with the hedgehog by her feet. The hedgehog wasn't afraid of her nor of me. Maybe she (the dog) has already explained to it (him? her?) that I am harmless ;)
So I took a couple of shots with my cellphone and observed the two of them wandering around - the hedgehog looking for edibles in grass, the dog guarding its every step and almost touching its spines.
