After a 10 days with less rain the floods are starting to subside. This road remains closed; it became famous in 2014 when the village of Muchelney was cut off for weeks and the news agencies recorded all supplies being "boated" in. The rivers Yeo and Parrett remain at high levels and are now contained within their banks but the land is fully saturated and the flooded fields cover a large area.
