Crossing the Nybæk (PiPs)

Crossing the Nybæk (PiPs)
This beach stretches for many miles along the north-west coast of North Jutland and is used as a road between towns and villages. This stretch is just south of Løkken, the bridges would've supported the 3500 kg weight of my moho but although its driver is happy with driving up and down mountains, round hair-pin bends and looming over oncoming traffic on narrow tarmac, she is not familiar with driving on sand. With all her goods and chattels on board she decided that getting stuck was too embarrassing to contemplate ...
it was a lovely walk!

PiP 1 - Nybæk river
PiP 2 - give way to the larger vehicle ...
PiP 3 - the bridge

I have seen some short footage about this "dry land wind surfing". Awesome what people come up! =O

Here it is rather popular to do similar thing in winter, with snow boards.

Good decision I think Maggie............there's quite a technique for driving safely on sand and you really need something with 4-wheel drive...........if you're sensible..!!

An interesting set of photos though, which you probably wouldn't have got if you'd driven. I especially like this one, but all are well composed and taken.

This looks risky. A walk would be much more relaxing

I think I would have made the same decision as you did. It looks a fascinating place. Like the wind kite. They use those on the beach at St Andrews near here.
