I was on my way back from Colorado Springs to Denver and didn't want to take the boring Interstate. This took me the whole day instead of two hours but it was worth it.

After more than 20 years it took me quite a while to identify the exact location of this photo. Even Street View didn't help, because the farm looks a lot different today. I finally got help from a guy, who worked on the farm and saw the (then Panoramio) photo in Google Earth. Small world, thanks again, cheeto ;-)

Wonderful shot. I thought immediately of Wyoming and the Bitterroot Mountains, but the scenery in both cases is very similar.

Die Sucherei ist einerseits spannend und lustig, andererseits manchmal ziemlich aufreibend. Wie Du richtig schreibst, hat sich in der Zwischenzeit vieles zur Unkenntlichkeit verändert. Ich bin gerade am Lokalisieren in Chicago. Da hab ich Fotos, wo kein Stein auf dem anderen blieb in den 35 Jahren seit 1986. Street View und Google Earth sind schon der Hammer!
