I am beginning a bit of a personal quest to learn more about the original people of the Peninsula.
Made a mistake by starting on "Blood on the Wattle", can barely read more than a couple of pages at a time and fear the stories from EP are going to include the same.
A person in SA Museum, hearing grandkids and I talking about going over there, joined the conversation and when hearing that my family "took up land" over there fairly earl on, tentatively asked if I knew anything of a massacre* over there.
I hadn't thought of it before :(

*I didn't.
(and I do not use the expression "took up land" any more)
