Loves Mine Range, Flinders Ranges

Calcareous deposit built up where a creek passes through a gap in the range. I presume it might have been formed by fresh water algae at a time when there was much greater flow than under current conditions. There is a cave hollowed out at near the base. The curved Red Gum at the top of the deposit features in the next image. Taken 15 Jul 1978.
