Single in January 2018 (SMC "K" 105mm f/2.8)

I am going to try, again, to meet the "Single in January" challenge on Pentax Forums. This is where one tries to take and post a picture a day for a month with the same lens. I am using my SMC Pentax "K" 105mm f/2.8 lens. As I was travelling home on the 1st, I ended up taking a photo of a decoration on my Christmas tree. This was shot using a 13mm extension tube with the camera on a tripod. Not great photography but at least it got me started.

For today's challenge photograph I wandered up to the junk yard near where I live where I came across a steel container with this inscription stencilled on it. If Google is to be believed, it translates as "The Soviet Green Roads". The light was so poor I had to shoot at ISO 3200. Pentax K3, SMC Pentax "K" 105mm f/2.8 lens, wide open.

I often photograph the statue of Gandhi in Tavistock Square in London. It is a good subject for testing a lens, and I am rather fond of it. This time, I took a close-up of the face as part of my "Single in January" challenge. Pentax K3, SMC Pentax "K" 105mm f/2.8 lens @ f/5.6 (I think...)

I'm not certain why but none of the shots I took today seemed sharp. I played around with this one, therefore, in the hope of making something out of one of the shots. Pentax K-3, SMC Pentax "K" 105mm f/2.8 @f/2.8.
