Klaus, you did such a nice job with your presentation! Lots of interesting macros, all different and some quite unusual! I love the snail in the main image...I was surprised to see a mussel/clam in another...I wonder if it lives on land???? I love how you explored many different types of bark, GREAT JOB!! :)

Thanks a lot for your nice words Janet.
To your question: The alder tree stands at a pond. There I found the sweet water mussel and put it on the root. I like the contrast between the smooth and finely drawn shell and the rough bark surface.
