Winter Sunshine at Low Tide
Taken last week in Bosham Harbour, West Sussex. Sunny but freezing cold.
Bosham is a lovely place to spend an hour or so with couple of nice cafés, an Arts and Crafts Centre and even an ice-cream shop (which wasn't doing much business). We managed to get some coffee and cake to warm us up :-))

I spotted this dog watching me through a house window when I was taking photos in Emsworth last week. It didn't look impressed :-)))

A delightful piece of art.........painted on to an acrylic sheet and affixed to the wall of the small museum in Exmouth, Devon.
This was taken back in March last year and when I visited again just after Christmas, it had been take down.
Emsworth Mill Pond

Another look at the Emsworth Mill Pond, Hampshire. Again, taken at dusk in rapidly fading light, with just a hint of the sunset to come.
This was captured from the bridge on the main road that runs past the town.
Pony and Trap (+PiP)

I spotted these two out for a bit of exercise by driving around the harbour at Bosham, West Sussex. The road is normally under water except at low tide.
There's another shot in the PiP.

At last.........a 2024 photo!
Taken yesterday afternoon during a stroll around the Mill Pond in Emsworth, Hampshire. I would have liked to have stayed for the sunset, but I am currently unable to drive in the dark, so we had to leave early.
It wasn't the sunniest of days, but it was dry........which made a nice change :-)
Better viewed large, if you have time. Thanks for looking.
Leaves in Autumn Light

A "detail" shot of some leaves in the early stages of Autumn taken back in September last year, at a small nature reserve in Emsworth, Hampshire.
Best viewed large, I think.

Boats at Eastney, Hampshire

Taken at the end of November last year. I haven't taken any photos in 2024 yet as the weather has been awful with almost constant rain.
Having just returned home from spending some time away, I have a lot of catching up to do, which I'll work on over the next few days, so please be patient with me.
A slightly belated Happy New Year to you all.
The Old Mill
The Old Mill at Langstone Harbour, Hampshire, taken at low tide. On the right you can see the footpath on the sea wall, and the reeds that surround the mill pond. On the left are the masts in the sailing club yard, and just in front of those, the road bridge to Hayling Island. There is also the remains of an old coal barge lying in the mud. Probably best viewed large.
I won't be around much this week and on Friday we're off to Devon for about a week. I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and are looking forward to the New Year.
A Festive Still Life

I would like to take this opportunity to wish you, and your loved ones a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
It has been a pleasure to share my photos (and some of my life) with you all. I am grateful for all your visits, comments, yellow stars and humour over the years I have been a member.
I shall now be taking a short break until after Boxing Day. See you soon and take care of yourselves!
Street Art
This beautiful piece of ceramic artwork has been moulded to the brickwork of the library building in Cosham, Nr Portsmouth in Hampshire. It was done as part of the Portsmouth Street Art Festival which took place back in September.
It's worth viewing this one large if you can.

Tabletop photography........going for a low-key effect.
The light indoors has been pretty rubbish lately, so have been dropping hints about a studio light this Christmas :-)))

Red Bottle and Red Berries
I love this wonky red bottle, but I'm accumulating too much "stuff" in my props box, so this one will be off to the charity shop soon for someone else to use.
The weather here is damp and miserable at the moment, so tabletop photography is the way to go.
Hemp Agrimony
I found this growing wild just the other side of my garden fence last September...........I don't remember seeing any flowers on it, but I did notice these seed heads, which looked really lovely in the sunshine. I'm pretty sure it's called Hemp Agrimony (Eupatorium cannabinum), which is a member of the Asteraceae family.
Unless you know any different..................?
