I used to have Agapanthus flowers in my parents ‘ garden , a long time ago, but they were blue.
I like also the meaning of its name from Greek, “the flower of love”.
Your picture is so beautiful and sharp Keith, showing the amazing detail and grace of this flower.

They're lovely flowers Adele and so easy to grow. This one is outgrowing the pot so when it's finished flowering we'll split it into three separate plants.

I didn't know the meaning of its name.........thanks for sharing that, my wife will be pleased.

Wunderschön sind diese zweifarbigen Blüten.
Meine Agapanthus beginnen gerade aufzublühen. Wir hatten sie vor Jahren aus Madeira mitgebracht. Mittlerweile haben sie sich stark vermehrt. Dieses Jahr bekommen wir 28 Blüten, aber leider nur weiße oder blaue.
