If you haven't been down to the seafront yet, it's well worth a visit. They've done a splendid job with the new sea defences and related works!

Yes yesterday we had our first real day of 2026 summer. A lovely snap here of this popular seaside promenade. Looked like a good day out for all concerned. Well shared.

I have been to Worthing but that was in the 1990s. My girlfriend of the time had a relative that we stayed with at Findon. It was a good holiday and we visited Arundel and Beachy head and just about all points in between. I have to admit Worthing left little impression but from your photos it. looks much more attractive than my distant memory.

I don't visit Worlhing very often nowadays as it involves a journey on the train followed by a bus trip.

Arundel is a lovely place to visit.........I used to go there quite often to visit the Wetland Centre which is very worth while, but impractical now without being able to drive.

Hope you get back to the Wetland Centre again one day.. Life without access to a car changes lives much more than it should. In an ideal world it would all be so much easier. Perhaps you will get there in a driverless Taxi !?!

Yes, giving up driving was quite a change for us. A lot of the places we liked to visit are almost impossible to ge there by public transport! My wife has to use a walker to get about, so even the walk to the bus stop or train station can be difficult. Still, it is what is is and we're better off than some. We have our old folks bus passes and I still have a free pass for local railways journeys (until they get re-nationalised anyway).

.........and I'm saving a fortune in car insurance, servicing, taxes, petrol etc, so it's not all bad..!! I can't see me ever using a driverless taxi though :-)))

Looks grand Keith,.. yes the 7th. was lovely // it would be 1962 (cos' we saw 'Dr.No' in town) I'd be 16,. when myself and a pal travelled from Sheffield on 'Lambrettas' to Southsea,..had a week in digs - we toured around too but memories are vague now tho'.. // Have a good weekend youth and keep well., Cheers' from Dj.

Yes, we had a couple of days of very warm weather. For us, the 8th was the hottest day of the year so far..!!

Es ist erfreulich, dass diese schöne Promenade so gut besucht ist.

It's recently had new sea defences and other major works done. The council have done a great job......it's a really love place!
