I'm pleased you like this one Güni............thank you so much for your visit and kind comments. The area is only a few minutes walk from the city centre, but sadly it has been neglected for years.

Have a lovely evening my friend. Best wishes, Keith.

A brave man indeed wandering around the back streets!! Cracking shot of urban dereliction though, what catches my eye is the board at the top right the patterns and abstracts on the one particular board are amazing, I would have zoomed in on that for sure.

Ha, ha.........it's only a few minutes walk from the city centre, so not that brave :-)))

I'm pleased you like this one James...........and as always I appreciated your kind comments.

I really should have gone in close on that boarding, but in my defence I was in a hurry to get back to the railway station..!! I might go back and have another look next time I'm in Portsmouth.

To be fair Keith I don't really know Portsmouth the last time I was there was in hospital for an angiogram so I didn't really fancy having a look around

I was born in Portsmouth, but we moved to Havant (about 10 miles aways) when I was around 5 years old.

The city used to be really lovely, but it has become neglected over the years and the council doesn't seem to have any plans to improve it (they probably don't have the money either).

You managed to get a cracking shot out of this decay, Keith ! Many people do pass for that back street and surely they ignore what the eye of a photographer like you can see . It’s a series of squares which make a very interesting motif.
Well done!

This location is only a few minutes walk from the city centre, but it's been sorely neglected, but as you say, very photogenic too!

The perfect setting for a video game that doesn't look much different from some undesirable area of my city. Kind regards. Anton.

Your back street walk was very successful, this sort of scene is brilliant! Even the red cone is broken, just perfect-love it!

Solche Ecken findet man bei uns auch immer mehr. Manche Fotografen finden dort interessante Motive.

There are certainly quite a few places like this in Portsmouth. It's aways worth a wander around with the camera.
