Maple Tree Seed Heads

Maple Tree Seed Heads
We have several large maple trees on the council-owned land at the rear of our house and consequently we get lots of seeds blown into our garden. These must have been a recent "arrival" as they were in such good condition, so I brought them indoors to photograph.

Nouchetdu38, trester88, Guydel, Colin Ashcroft and 18 other people have particularly liked this photo

We share a theme today Keith. As I say on mine. This is the way to have it almost all in perfect focus. Well done.

Cheers. Herb

I don’t think I have ever seen maple seeds before, Keith or probably I have not paid attention.
So double thanks for showing this nature art work in such a beautiful photo.
I love the delicate tones which match so well with the pale green background.

I'm glad I've been able to introduce you to them Adele. When they separate from the branch they turn into little helicopters in the wind to spread themselves further.

I'm also very pleased that you like this image...........and for your kind words.

Thank you Güni.............they were blown off the tree when we had some high winds, and I found them before they had a chance to mature.

Glad you like them........and the way I've photographed them indoors.

Such lovely comments as always my friend. Have a lovely evening and take care. Best wishes, Keith.

I seem to spend a lot of time pulling tree seedlings out the ground in my garden, and like you say, there is very little to be done about it and it's nice to have the trees of course.

Glad you like the photo and thanks for your kind words.
