Holly Blue (+PiP)

Holly Blue (+PiP)
One of the few butterflies I've seen this year. Taken in my garden in May this year.

This image shows the under wings. The image in the PiP shows the upper wings.

Nouchetdu38, trester88, Xata, Berny and 18 other people have particularly liked this photo

It was lovely to see this little beauty, but I've not seen another one yet!

Glad you like my photos of it............and thanks for your lovely comments. It seems that butterflies sightings are few and far between this year.

Enjoy your evening Güni..............regards, Keith :-))

Great colours and superb pair of close up images, Keith,
the detail both on the butterfly and the plant is excellent,
I don't know my butterflies at all, buts this looks quite small!

Glad you like this pair of shots Roger..............I've hardly seen any butterflies in the garden this year and I was please to get a fleeting view and a couple of photos of this little beauty. Sadly, I've not seen it since.

You're right, it is a very small one with a wingspan of around 26-34mm.

Thanks for your visit a kind words..............and enjoy the rest of the weekend.

Certains papillons peuvent effectuer plusieurs générations par an.
