Klasse! Bei uns heißen die Akelei. - Hab ich auch im Garten. - Hast Du mal beobachtet, wie die Bienen da an den Nektar kommen? - Sieht lustig aus. Weil der Nektar in den kleinen Zipfeln am oberen Ende der Blüte steckt und die Bienen da nicht herankommen, beißen sie diese Zipfeln von außen an und pumpen den Nektar von dort ab. ;-)

It's interesting how many different names some flowers get.

Yes, I've seen the bees visiting the flowers..........I didn't realise they bit through the spikes though. It's amazing how they work out how to get the nectar...........such clever insects!

I shall have to pay more attention and examine the flowers a bit more closely in future!

Yes they are just appearing here in the last week, some white, a few purple but mostly just like yours

I have loads in the garden.............they self-seed all over the place. They're nice to see though!

Genau in dieser Farbe habe ich sie auch in meinem Garten Keith..ich mag diese kleinen Verstecke für Hummeln und Bienen :)
