Was für ein schönes Anwesen! Ich würde die Bank in Richtung des Schlosses drehen, denn der Blick lohnt sich.
Eine schön gestaltete Aufnahme, Keith!
HBM und einen guten Start in die Woche!

There are views of the River Test from the bench, but there were too many people on the path to get a decent shot. Glad you like this one though.

The green is because we have lots of rain Isabel.............the lawn looks good because the gardens have been pretty much closed for months due to Covid-19. Thanks for dropping in.

I like these typical British castles. I think it would be better for the bench to be turned to the castle, don't you think so? HBM Keith.

Thanks Christa............there are a lot of benches that have views towards the castle, but I wanted a shot of the bench without people and this was the only one!

Thanks Herb. It's not one of my favourite NT houses..........but the setting is lovely........and it's only an hour or so to drive there.

Ha, ha................there are other benches that look towards the house Fred. I wanted this one because there were no people on it.

I'm sure it is facing a nice view Keith, but I would like to turn it around and look at the beautiful house. I have put Romsey on my list for next year, so may be able to visit this NT property.

HBM and hope you have a good week.

The bench has nice views of the River Test.........but there were too many people about. There are three or four other benches with views of the house. It's well worth a visit if you get the chance.s

HOLY COW, WHAT A "house"! INCREDIBLE!! The architecture sets me to droolin' somethin' fierce! :D You're far away and yet I see so many wonderful details and beautiful color variations too. YUMMY!! I had to look it up...YOWZA what a stunner of a place to visit!! And if you pay the (rather hefty) price to get in, you can visit the inside of the house too! I think it would be worth the price to visit because there is so much to see...the abbey is full of art, there's a rose garden, trails, wow...incredible en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mottisfont_Abbey (their official website is way too tied into the trust and you find yourself looking at non Mottisfont stuff too easily, meh!)

Janet, the National Trust looks after hundreds of properties and other sites all over the UK. Jackie and I pay for a joint membership each year and that gives unlimited access and free parking to them all. Most are open all year round.

Glad you like the photo.........and thanks for dropping in.

Thank you. Yes, the grass is kept short using a ride-on lawnmower!
