Cobblestone Abstract

Cobblestone Abstract
Taken at the entrance to the Bishop's Palace Gardens in Chichester, West Sussex. The palace dates from the 12th Century, so I imagine these cobblestones are around the same age. I wonder how many people have walked over them since they were laid?

I took this photo just after it had stopped raining while the sun was shining on the wet stones.

Nouchetdu38, E. Adam G., wirsberg, autofantasia and 30 other people have particularly liked this photo

Love this close-up Keith. They must have been laid very well to have lasted the way they have. In our imagination we can see and feel the history. A superb shot.

Hello Keith. I love the undulating surface caused by the processions of pedestrians over the centuries. And the soft, rounded surface. A lovely shot. You are telling its story for it!

A great little capture here. Wet cobblestones you to be a favourite subject in the days of B&W prints in my old camera club. Love the tones here and perceived sharpness from front to back. Well done.

Well I'm certainly one of those people who've wobbled over those cobbles!
Super textures and I love the way the light is gleaming off the stones.
