I haven't posted a Robin photo for ages, so here's one in glorious close up..!!

This little beauty came and sat between my feet while I was sitting on a bench at Hinton Ampner last week.

Brian Scott, Cameron, William (Bill) Armstrong, Andrew Trundlewagon and 29 other people have particularly liked this photo

A fabulous close-up Keith with superb detail. I think they are quite used to people in these places and hope that you might have a few crumbs to spare!

Your robins are so much sweeter looking than ours. Rounder and just plain nicer. I mean, ours have character, but not as beautiful.

Great close up - this one must like you to let that portrait be taken!

Thanks Laura...............we're so lucky to have them. They seem to be very comfortable around us humans, especially if there happens to be any food going.

We have a pair visiting our garden at the moment..........I think they must have a nest and young nearby! They're a joy to watch.

We had a surprise on our front door in April. Some type bird decided that our dried Christmas wreath was the perfect spot for a nest. It's hard to see, but it is definitely a nest. Never saw any bird and no eggs as they probably figured out it wasn't a good place pretty quickly - but fun to see the nest up close.

Such a lovely story Laura.............but such a shame the bird never used the nest............although it would have been very inconvenient for you :-))

I pretty much always have a camera to hand Wilhelm! In this case though there was no rush as the Robin stayed around for ages.
