Thanks Sami.........and yes, you're correct. I'm nott 100% happy with it to be honest - it needs better diffusing. I'm working on a way to do it :-)

It is a matter of taste. I like the way this is lit. But I do understand the reflections for example on the leaf does not please all.

So, in my opinion the light does not need to look "natural". Getting rid of hard shadows is a value itself ;-)

Just seen these in our garden. We have seen many different shieldbugs before are unsure about these…. Perhaps we have never taken as close a look.
