Nectaroscordum Siculum

Nectaroscordum Siculum
Taken in my garden. The flowers have nearly all finished and they have now formed seed heads moving back to the upright position to harden off. Clever innit?

That beautiful bokeh is out-of-focus Feverfew plants.

Frans Schols, Jörg, trester88, and 14 other people have particularly liked this photo

Does it have a common name? I know I had it in a garden once and never found it out although I alway liked it. A very congenial photo (I am presuming a photo can be congenial!), Keith!

Glad you like it Andy. It's also called Sicilian Honey Garlic and Mediterranean Bells.

I recognised it as part of the onion (allium) family but didn't know which one, Keith. I will look it up for it's geographical range (these things I find intrisically interesting) and for its possible cullinary use. If it is good in the kitchen, I will be annoyed because when I had in my garden I hadn't yet become interested in cooking!!
