Beautiful Autumn colours, beautiful light and great shadows. A very well seen pov and the framing is perfect, Karen. Love the strong blue sky too. A clever musical choice for 'Sight and Sound' :-) Not heard this track before. Yes, it is very good! I will have to admit that apart from "Space Oddity" I don't have any other music by David Bowie. And, what makes this more surprising is that a while ago a statue of David Bowie was unveiled here in Aylesbury to celebrate David's life and to commemorate that David debuted 'Ziggy Stardust' and two of his albums in Aylesbury. This was at 'Friars' music venue in the early 1970s. Perhaps I need to investigate David's music :-)

I little bit of Trivia is that I only went to 'Friars' once, probably around 1971. That was to see Commander Cody & his Lost Planet Airmen :-)

I know what you mean. I only have one album myself (Let's Dance.) I must have been on another musical path or something. I always liked his hits in the 70s and then lost track. I really liked the movie that this song was in although I haven't seen it in many years.

That's wonderful that they made a statue for him in your area. That could be a great photo op for you. :)

Hi Karen. I will listen to more of his songs and choose one to go with a photo of the statue.The statue is in a covered area where there is not very much light. I have taken some shots with my phone and some are okay. Ones taken with flash weren't great! I will probably take some more before deciding upon one to upload :-) Sadly, within a very short time of the statue being unveiled it was vandalised, twice !!! It was sprayed with paint !!! Fortunately, the statue is made of bronze and each time they managed to clean off the paint! I don't believe they have ever caught the culprit(s).......I know what I would like to do to them !!!

Oh, that is so sad. Why would anyone do that to him? I'm glad they were able to clean the paint off.

I will look forward to seeing your post. I'm very curious what the statue looks like now. :)
