What's on the menu?
So. I'm thinking about our lunch. I'm looking out the window, counting pigeons, the number of which has grown over the years. I'm *not* planning on pigeon for lunch. Well fed and all, and fattening up, but not to our taste.
Suddenly all the pigeons, more than I first saw, rise up and fly off to the left. The littler birds follow suit.
I look up to my right and there's this guy. He's scanning the yard for his own planned lunch. His tastes are not like ours.
He made a dive and then a swirly chase, but he left the neighborhood a minute later with nothing.
Handsome bird. I think he's a sharp-shinned hawk and that his colour, brownish, indicates he is a juvenile.
