Lion Dance String Puppet 3

Lion Dance String Puppet 3
The Lion Dance is always performed during the Chinese New Year and in Victoria, which has the oldest Chinatown in Canada, a Lion Dance Parade occurs. I missed the parade this year, but found the puppets!

m̌ ḫ, Annemarie, William Sutherland, José Manuel Polo and 2 other people have particularly liked this photo

Thank you for sharing it in the Shamans’ group///
While the Chinese lion does not directly come from shsman cultures, it is primarily seen as a guardian figure, believed to ward off evil spirits and negative energies. This protective function is a common thread in many spiritual traditions, including shamanism, where animal spirits or totems are invoked for protection.

Lion dance is an important ritual in Chinese tradition believed to bring good luck and drive away evil spirits on auspicious occasions.Very tribal and superstitious, they are in fact an ancient culture where some aspects modernise very slowly
