Chris, retired

For over thirty years Chris worked for the same university I did. Through that time, he was always taking courses, mostly ones in history and social sciences. We had long chats whenever we ran into each other.

But I retired two years ago and I hadn't seen him in a long time when we ran into each other at the supermarket. He was pleased to report that in the meantime he had retired too. And he showed me the picture taken at his retirement party of him with a soft drink in hand for a toast.
