Bit of snow came

Bit of snow came
This morning, after 24 hours of a vicious wind-storm dropped at least 76 cm of snow on us, our windows were all plastered with snow. Looking out the window was a matter of moving your head around to find the perfect little hole to investigate, as here, what was at the feeder.

This female flicker is never far these days from our neighbourhood, and has been arriving alone. But today she had with her a companion, a female Evening grosbeak. The flicker came back to the feeder at least three times during the day and each time her consort was nearby.
