Bah bah bahbbing
When I was a kid, and even into my early adulthood, I knew four

birds: crows, seagulls, chickadees, and robins. I knew there were

other birds, and I knew some songs without knowing which birds they

were. But these four were all I could name by sight. Later, I found

out that I was calling about ten different kinds of bird "seagull."

Gradually, I became able to tell apart, what?, about twenty different

species! :) With a book, some more besides them.

Anyway, a few weeks ago the spring robins returned here (a few

over-winter most years) and I have been trying to get a picture. I

like this one, taken this afternoon from my car seat while I was

waiting in it for a few minutes.
