Results of a day trip down to the Atlantic Coastal Plain of South Carolina - the Francis Marion National Forest.
These two orchid species are the earliest to bloom in South Carolina, and I was fortunate to find them in bloom...

Day 4 - orchids galore! We made a few special stops in the Churchill area to visit some awesome orchid sites. Along the way, we spotted beautiful wildflowers, Golden Plovers, and Arctic Hares.
