Couldn't believe this robin sat there by me

As I walked up the drive I saw this robin sitting on the small branch and he didn't move even as I walked closer to him. Eventually he got fed up and flew off

Next week it'll smell just like vanilla

Ann and Peter have a magnificent gorse bush and probably because it's been such a warm February, it's flowered out early. Next week it should smell beautiful

One of my favourite flowers - magnolia

I've always loved the magnolia and have tried repeatedly to grow my own, but have never been lucky. So I just have to enjoy the beautiful tree opposite my drive.

The gorgeous yellow gorse

I hadn't realised that I'd managed to capture the view of so many seagulls high in the sky. At first I thought they might be midges but then I understood that they were lots of seagulls.
