I much prefer naturally-shaped, gnarled and knobbly fruit than perfectly shaped supermarket stuff!

Oh mine are definitely gnarled and knobbly!!! I never buy apples at the supermarket, because I don't really do much with apples, no need to buy some as I freeze all my fruit and they usually last a whole year!!!

I remember my mum's old chest freezer and that is what I could do with now. She would freeze things that would last the year and it would be very economical. All I have had for too many years is the freezer compartment of my fridge. I like to cook. I enjoy it, I am diabetic, and can prepare many dishes in advance that suit my dietory requirements and that are tasty and wholesome and I like to freeze them in batches. i could save a lot of money with a chest freezer (or even a standard upright one).
Alas, I don't have the space and I know my landlord wouldn't consider it anyway!

I don't know what I'd do without my freezer. I have a small upright one and a medium sized chest freezer and they are both full - well I need to get in there and sort them out, but I can't do it on my own. I do tend to buy food and freeze them, in case I have a week when I don't need enough for a delivery and so therefore, I can use all the food in the freezer to save worrying about not having enough to eat for either me or the cat!!!!

Indeed, Jenny!
By the way, you asked about my picnic table in the mountains. Maybe you haven't seen it (I have posted a few shots of it over the years but maybe not for a year or two), so here it is!
