Sorry to hear that your daughter has the flu, that's awful. All the stress from being in England, air travel, being back home, jet lag, traveling around with you and making sure everything is good with the world...ugh, it's a lot for a body to deal with! I expect a couple of days of solid sleep and rest will do you BOTH good! :)
Thanks so much for your comments, Jenny. Part of the reason I write lots and lots and don't worry about the length is because of YOU. I know you enjoy reading about my adventures and what's on my mind and if folks get bored, they can move on! I also write for me...the days do blend together so quickly, don't they? Writing it all down is imperative! No matter how much something meant at the time, it still drifts away so I try to capture what I can. So happy you are enjoying the show...and don't worry, I won't stop...I couldn't if I tried. I am programmed to share, just as you are!! :)
And now I will visit your blog and see if I can't catch up with your world...I love the way you write too, we are the immersive twins! :D *hugs*
Jenny McIntyre club has replied to Janet Brien clubThanks so much for the wonderful compliment you've paid me with regard to your writing. I am very honoured indeed. Yes I do really enjoy reading your adventures and I imagine I'm there with you two. My neighbour went away for 6 weeks walking the Pyrenees, bordering France and Spain. He would have been walking about 500 miles up and down mountains and valleys - with incredible scenery, sometimes sleeping outside under the stars! I asked him what kind of camera he was taking and he said he wasn't!!!!!!!!! He said - no worry, I'll remember the views! I said that I couldn't believe it, he'd need the pictures to remind him of where he went, what he saw and how he felt when he was there - but he seemed to think he'd remember it all. I'm 20 years older than him and I've forgotten a lot of things, but seeing pictures remind me - so to do something like that and not take a camera seemed unbelievable to me - as I'm sure it does to you!

Re: your traveling friend: you and I can just shake our heads together because we both know that guy will forget all but a few details from his trip. I don't care who you are...a trip like that means that the days melt together and a week later you won't remember what happened on which day. The best details will mix with others. Fine memories will disappear or become distorted. The only way to keep your memories safe is by writing down what happened and taking pictures.
So you will be able to share our unfolding adventures with us as the days, weeks, months and yes, years roll by, because I love to share and I want to remember our travels! Steve isn't documenting but perhaps some day he will. But I love this sort of thing and in time, hopefully I'll turn my blogs into a series of books! :)
*BIG HUGS TO YOU AND MANDI*!
