A great view over Yashi bay.

A great view over Yashi bay.
This is a great place to stop and sit at sunset time - the sun sets just behind those islands.

Janet Brien, Andy Rodker, Anton Cruz Carro, Valfal and 2 other people have particularly liked this photo

Heel erg bedankt Fred. Ja, het uitzicht is gewoon geweldig. De grote bergen aan de achterkant is het Griekse eiland Kos !!

Not my picture I'm afraid Val - it's by my daughter. She often goes along this road to visit her friends and on especially beautiful days - like this one - she'll stop and take a photo. She only uses her phone!!!

Very romantic and suggestive view. the landscape that everyone would like to meet at the edge of the road. Best wishes, Anton.

Oh Jenny...*sigh*...this is just breathtaking. The light and shadow just take me away...

Simply fabulous.

Thank you very much for your sweet comments on my pictures...as usual you make me feel like such a superstar! *runs over to give you a hug and a peck on the cheek*

I loved reading about the door knobs in your house and how you'd like to change them out. I totally understand! But you know...I bet they'd make cool macros just the same! :D (nothing is safe from my macro lens! :D) I'm glad you enjoyed my pictures and I loved that you couldn't figure out what you were looking at with some of them! :) Those are the best sort of abstract, the ones that make you say out loud, "OHHHHH!!!!! Ok, now I see!" :D

Thank you also for the great comments about my France pictures. The main picture was one of those super surprises and adding a white vignette made it look nice and a bit on the magical side. It's such fun when pictures turn out well when you didn't think it would be anything at all. I remember taking the picture at the time..."Oh, this is a pretty flower but I don't know, why bother? Well ok, just a couple of pictures because it's standing up so proud and pretty." I love that about photography!

The filters on the images are really fun...it's a whole different element to delve into. The artistic collage side of photography processing can eat your life as you begin to combine elements, vignettes, borders, textures...it is, however quite a lot like a version of painting. Only you're painting with elements and transparency levels of each. A total rabbit hole. So I tread carefully and try not to take too much time but sometimes I lose myself in the magic of it all! :) Glad you enjoyed the pictures, there will be so very many more! :D

Hope you are having a grand day my dear! :)

So glad you like this picture of Mandi's - I'm very proud of her. Yes I see what you mean about trying out all the filters and textures etc - and it is rather like painting. The only thing is that my favourite kind of art of all time, is hypo-realism and through YouTube and Instagram I have discovered some absolutely outstanding artists whose paintings are so lifelike, that you could almost imagine them turning round and talking to you. There are some that look like a photograph and I have a real problem trying to see whether it is or not!!! I've always been that way about art - I was on my own, preferences way, at Art College because I didn't fall in with the crowd who seemed to like cubism and just 3 lines of colour on a canvas and call that art! Photography is my passion now and seeing some of the pictures you create - absolutely amazing.

Yes I've had a good day - tomorrow my cleaner (friend) Emily comes and we are going to tackle one of my kitchen cupboards and it'll be a case of "Oh I forgot I had that!".

Thank you Cheryl - it's one of my favourite places to sit and just look. It's a magical place, but now they've got picnic tables up there, so more people go there, so a bit of the magic is lost.
