The rains took a pause this afternoon and the canal is finally full today ... and looking pretty green ... it should be ready for St Patty's Day when they dump the dye in. :-)

Still flowing and the canal is about half full. Lots of people walking today ... taking advantage of the good weather before the rains hit.

The canal is almost half full ... just took one more walk before the rains come back tonight.
Central Canal Location

The red line marks the location of the Central Canal Walk. It's about a 2.5 mile round trip walk. They recently removed about 400 truckloads of muck from the canal.

Still waiting for the water to arrive ... gondolas often tour the canal during the summer months.

5:00 today they started refilling the canal with water after cleaning all the muck out.
