It seems a rather imposing fence, especially with the sign; great find and nice capture, Norm :-)

nothing more inviting than a closed fence! and that's a pretty cool fence! You only need a permit to take a picture of a human... no humans, no permit!

In theory ... that is true, but this is also the place I got kicked out of for taking pictures of flowers.

what the hell? really? you tell them you have been kicked out of better places!

Yes ... minimum wage rent-a-cops. I complained to the Mayor and got an apology and an invitation back, but I suspect had I had time to shoot flowers I would have gotten kicked out again.

Very nice photo. It kind of leaves you with a sunken feeling though doesn't it Norm? ;)

It doesn't seem very welcoming with the big fencing and signs. Great find and capture for this weeks challenge.

Certainly not the most welcoming place is it? Great curves to the fence though. Glad you captured them in the shot ... URK to the sign!!

As Val mentioned you are on your way to an natural abstract ... just a crop of the upper section above the top of the trees would produce a abstract nicely. :)

Oh URK, that section above the trees would not meet the challenge, when I re read the challenge it's about abstracts created by nature ... duh on my part sorry. On the discussion thread for this weeks challenge there are some good links as to what Wendi and Harriet are talking about. Sorry for the confusion. :)

I went out and tried to shoot abstracts last night, but it's really not my thing! It's going to take a little work I think! :-)
