1501 nach einem Brand wieder aufgebaut, 1581 durch einen Stadtbrand erneut zerstört.
1581-1586 erneut wiederaufgebaut.
2006-2010 umfassend restauriert.

In der Nacht zum 10. November 1938 wurden Arnstädter Juden in dieses Haus verschleppt und mißhandelt. Solange die Synagoge brannte ...

.... so toll war das Wetter nicht.
Innerhalb von 4 Stunden bin ich 3x über diesen Marktplatz gehoppelt.
Um endlich dann doch ein Zipfelchen blauen Himmel zu erwischen.

... ich fahr` da nochmal hin, Mitte November ... hab`schon gebucht: "Goldene Sonne" -
vielleicht nützt`s was (also wettermäßig). Willste mit ???
Da gibt`s so viel zu entdecken ! 4 Stunden waren entschieden zu knapp.

Arnstadt hat sich sehr verändert, kenne es noch aus den Anfang der 80er Jahre.
