For The Sunday Challenge group, who's theme this week was "Get Personal."
This is a tiny Holy Bible, with both the complete Old and New Testament, and is approximately the size of an 8-track tape. It was a Christmas gift from my late Mother and Father back in 1974. That was the year we moved back to Illinois from Arizona where we had lived for about 10 years. Money was very short that year due to the fact that Dad owned his own business and, having to relocate back to the state we had all been born in, it took awhile for him to get it re-established. I had asked them for a small Bible that would fit in a pocket and be complete, and this is what they got me. It was a treasured gift back then and it is still cherished to this day.
The image was made using selective lighting and the in-camera effect of "Soft Focus - Mid." Taken with a Sony Alpha SLT-a77V.
