Kodak Instamatic 104

Kodak Instamatic 104
If I'm ever going to be able to use this one, I'll have to use 35mm film in it somehow. Other than that, it's a pretty solid, still-working camera.

Indycaver (Norm), have particularly liked this photo

Thanks, Norm! I've seen that Fakmatic adapter and always wondered how well it worked. But, in my case, I finally got a real cartridge of 126 film - my girlfriend bought an old Kodak Instamatic 154 with an already-loaded old roll of 126 inside it. It probably expired 40 years ago, but I shot it and got a couple usable images. Then I carefully cracked the cartridge open, got the old film out and developed it. Then I had a cartridge I could reuse. I'm already reusing it for the second time! The first time I used it, I put some expired film in it. If it didn't work, I didn't want to necessarily ruin a good roll of film. But the film I thought might be bad because I didn't how long since it had expired, turned out to be pretty good. I finished that roll and now I've reloaded some fresh film in the 126 cartrdge and am shooting with it in another old Instamatic camera in my collection. Actually, the cameras I shot with before using the reloaded cartridge turned out pretty good, considering the cameras I used both had plastic lenses in them.

The Fakmatic adapter seems to work better in some camera's more so than others. The guys at the Film Photography Podcast cast has been pushing for someone to make 126 film again ... or at least 35 mm film with the correct sprocket holes for reloading. Who knows ... it may happen someday. :-) I need to get out and shoot some film again, but I've been so busy here lately ... I've harding shot anything ... digital or film.
