If folks were around they must have been inside. There are apartments above many of the businesses down town. Some stores leave the front of shop lights on for security reasons.

A beautiful night shot of a quiet part of town. You must need a nap.

Esther the main part of town is what you sign in the photo and about two blocks going back in the opposite direction. The lights at the bottom in the distance are from the Virginia Military Institute.

The street lamps are fascinating

Gillian the round decorated wreaths are made to slip down into the base just below the lights The bows are part of the wreath. They slip ilnto place easily. They go up just after Thanksgiving and remain until the just after New Years. Both bridges coming into town are also lined with these street lights making for a very festive feel.
