CREATIVE THEMES 4 - MUSIC of Photography
|
|
|
|
Britannica Dictionary definition of CREATIVITY... the ability to make new things or think of new ideas, so pretty well includes ANY photo, providing it is in the spirit of the current theme.
4. MUSIC of/in photography (literal or figurative)
www.ipernity.com/group/2727146/discuss/197904
Expressive combinations of tones, especially with melody, rhythm, and usually harmony.
A subject in a photograph occupies much the same role as a melody or theme in a piece of music. Both anchor the piece, leading us along lines of story through a landscape either literal or figurative. And musical rhythm is not so different from visual rhythm.

Saturday challenge 278
Theme: Lightpainting "Light Graffiti"
Condition:
- The camera must not be moved.
- Paint/write something on a plain or white wall.
- Only a long exposure.
Cropped, but otherwise zero editing.
I ordered some LED light sticks, but they didn't arrive in time, but I found an alternative... tightly packed tiny Christmas lights, see PiP.

An extra experiment, using just one of the lights, following on from 278 Saturday challenge - light graffiti.
You can see my arm in this one, and a glimpse of the other lights. A bit tricky to do this, as still attached to the pack of Christmas lights..

Very sad day

Very sad day, said goodbye yesterday to Sooki, our senior dog...
17 September 2009 to 17 October 2022
When we collected our puppy Kelpie x Border collie in 2009, she was called Sooty. We changed this to Sooki, which fits, as she has always been a gentle, loving, and faithful companion, and loves everybody.
She was diagnosed with kidney failure a while ago, and in recent weeks was gradually eating less and less. We took her for a blood test on 13th October, and the next day the Vet confirmed that her kidney function had declined dramatically. She was unwell over the weekend, and very weak.
So very sad. Thanks for all the good times, Sooki, we love you xxx

The Yesterday Today and Tomorrow plant (Brunfelsia) is a tropical plant native to Brazil. Its lush green foliage is accented with unique blooms that change color. The flowers bloom first as a purple or violet bloom. The next day that same bloom is pale lavender and the next day it is white.
